What to Expect

The Transitions Equine Assisted Learning Experiences are an opportunity to join Alisha for a calming time with horses. Bond with the horses, connect with your date or group, and learn something new about yourself during a series of specially-design experiential learning exercises.

After a peaceful, rural drive to Transitions Equine Assisted Learning you’ll be greeted by your host, Alisha, at The Tack Room (look for the little navy blue building).

You’ll then meet your new teammate, a horse. Why horses? Horses are extremely sensitive, aware of their surroundings and quick to react. They provide instant, non-judgmental and honest feedback, which make them the perfect partner.

Transitions Experience Therapy Horse

Once acquainted, you’ll begin the “do-it-yourself” or “do it with your partner” exercises. These ground-based exercises will have you guiding horses through obstacles, solving puzzles with your partner, and finding laughter, empowerment, and self-awareness along the way.

Transitions Experience Group Activity with Horse

End your experience with a wrap-up chat around the fire with charcuterie boxes filled with locally sourced cheeses, meats, fruits, veggies, and other delicious goodies. Take in the rural surroundings and enjoy the grounded feeling within yourself.
