Apple Crunch

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Pare and slice the apples.
  3. Combine the 1 cup sugar, salt, cinnamon, and flour and sprinkle over the apples.
  4. Put apple mixture in the bottom of a greased baking dish
  5. Combine the oat flakes, brown sugar and soda.
  6. Add melted butter and rub into oat flake mixture to make crumbs.
  7. Place the crumbs on top of the apples, patting them down evenly.
  8. Bake at 375F for approx. 40 minutes.
